A Voice That Carries was created by five passionate women who are on the front lines of treating eating disorders recognized a need to empower fathers who had previously been left out of the conversation.

Dr. Heidi Limbrunner

Dr. Limbrunner is a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in working with children, adolescents and young women who struggle with disordered eating and body image related concerns. She is excited for the launch of this film as it helps fathers and all father figures to feel empowered to help their daughters develop positive self-esteem and body image confidence. Heidi is a proud mother of two children, Hallie and Harrison. She is extremely thankful for her husbands support in the development of this documentary and for her own father's encouragement throughout her life.

Dr. Tracy Barcott

Dr. Tracy Barcott is a licensed psychologist who specializes in working with children and adolescents who struggle with anxiety and negative thinking about themselves. She also specializes in supporting parents to develop healthy and rewarding relationships with their children. She is hopeful that A Voice That Carries will inspire fathers to recognize that they are a powerful source of confidence and self-esteem for their daughters. Tracy is grateful for her own father’s support in her life and for her husband’s active role in parenting their three children.

Dr. Melissa Miller

Dr. Melissa Miller provides treatment at her private practice in Charlotte, NC for individuals struggling with anxiety, body image, and disordered eating. She believes every person deserves to feel comfortable in their skin, have an easy relationship with food, and live life to their full potential. Melissa’s husband spurred her desire for this film, as he is passionate about wanting to be a positive influence in their daughter’s life.

Dr. Lauren King

Dr. King is a licensed psychologist who helps girls and women overcome difficulties such as Eating Disorders and anxiety. Lauren is deeply grateful for her father, who encouraged her both personally and professionally throughout her life. Her daughters, Evelyn and Magnolia, and her husband, Andrew, are her greatest joys.

Lindsay Mckeon

Lindsey McKeon is a Certified Eating Disorder Registered Dietitian with a Master’s degree in nutrition and with over 15 years of experience. She specializes in medical nutrition therapy, eating disorders, disorder eating, diabetes and prenatal care. McKeon is passionate about helping individuals develop a healthy relationship with food and exercise by using a non-diet approach. She and her husband have two daughters, Reese and Isla, and love to spend their free time with playing soccer and running around the White Water Center.

Award-winning filmmaker Brett Culp creates touching and emotionally gripping documentary stories. From tales of everyday superheroes to the stories of children in the villages of Haiti to the daring exploits of military legends, he uncovers powerful human experiences through inspiring, engaging filmmaking.

Brett has been the personal cinematographer for movie stars, music icons, best-selling authors, hall of fame athletes, and royalty. He has been featured in USA Today, WIRED, The LA Times, Entertainment Tonight, The Hollywood Reporter, Fast Company, and WEtv. The newest edition of the college textbook “Documentary Storytelling” devotes an entire chapter to Brett’s unique, organic production style, which focuses on authentic storytelling.

He is the co-founder of The Rising Heroes Project, a not-for-profit organization that creates uplifting movies for charitable and educational purposes.

Brett’s latest feature-length film Legends of the Knight is an exploration of the potential all of us have to become heroes. The movie has screened theatrically in 90 cities around the world with proceeds from each screening benefiting local charities. The film is now available on Netflix, iTunes, and Amazon.
